I am pleased to provide this reference in a personal capacity in support of Clark Engineering Consultants. I am providing it with the insight of having chaired the strata committee for our Strata Corporation for over a decade and living in the building as a resident and owner.
Clark Engineering Consultants have been the engineering consultants to our Strata Corporation for the last 14 years or so which is the whole time we have owned a title in the corporation. Indeed, I understand they were consulting to the Corporation before then. Our building has 23 apartments plus garaging, is over a century old and suffered an extremely shoddy warehouse conversion in the 1990s. As a consequence, it always has engineering issues that need to be addressed.
The continuing engagement of Clark Engineering Consultants over such a long period reflects the quality of the work they have undertaken for us, and the trust we place in their advice.
By way of example, over the last 10-15 years they have worked with the Strata Corporation to find and stop all external water leaks in the building. This has required a very persistent and thorough approach to find and address multiple problems in the roofing, tiling, external walls and more. When necessary, they have been willing to attend an immediate call out to inspect leaks as they were occurring in pouring rain as the only way to trace back to source. They have taken a similar approach to internal leaks from drain pipes, fresh water supply and bathrooms. The result is a building in which residents and owners have great confidence that the building is safe, dry and will endure.
